If you have followed me for a while, you probably have realized that I absolutely love Barcelona. While I visited a lot of Europe 20 years ago, Spain had eluded me until about 4 years ago. And just like I suspected, I absolutely fell in love with Barcelona. There are so many things to enjoy - whether it is visiting the popular sights, or just enjoying the fresh food and drink. There's no city like Barcelona. It is all of the feelings. It can be calm and lively, aggressive and peaceful, quaint and contemporary, historic and modern. It can rival any big city's hustle and bustle, then turn the corner and find a quiet neighbourhood cafe, or walk down to miles of beach to enjoy after work or on the weekend.
Spend a couple of days before you embark on a Mediterranean cruise or as a stop on a bus tour, or take a full week to enjoy the city. Barcelona must be enjoyed for a few days at a minimum.
So when you arrive, here are some of the things that you must visit, do, eat, drink and make sure you photograph.
